Agenda for the day

Scott Funnell, CPO Advisory Forum Chair and Head of Strategic Procurement and Governance at London Borough of Croydon, will open today's event.

What are the defining features of an effective procurement function? This workshop, led by Simon Bandy & Vivien Holland from Local Partnerships, aims to examine what "good" procurement looks like in practice.

Artificial intelligence is beginning to shape procurement activities across the public sector. This session aims to highlight what’s on the horizon in terms of the central digital platform and tools available free of charge to the public sector.

Focus on how procurement can drive workforce growth through apprenticeships and skills development, sharing practical approaches for CPOs to build future talent.

Combining generative AI with human expertise can speed the source-to-pay process for tail spend. Nomia shows how AI drives efficiency and savings.

Dan Ebanks from Match My Project, the social value matching platform, explains how communities work with suppliers to enhance projects and achieve social value.

EY in conjunction with record label In-House Records and Outreach C.I.C discuss the future of social value and how commissioning will change to make driving community benefits the centre of public sector contracting.

CPO Advisory Forum Chair, Scott Funnell, will summarise the day’s key lessons and outline plans for future events.

Social Value

How can Councils work alongside suppliers and community organisations to deliver true value back to their local areas?

Workforce Development

In a time where budgets are tight and the workload is higher than ever, Local Government needs to think outside the box to build the talent of the future.

AI in Procurement

Whilst people will always be at the heart of Procurement, where is AI’s space in streamlining processes and improving efficiency?

Networking Dinner & Entertainment

In the evening, you have the option to join us for an all-inclusive dinner and entertainment. This provides additional time to network with the group, continue conversations from the day, and build lasting relationships.
