Reasons to attend

The challenges facing local authority procurement teams are legion; from meeting social value objectives to addressing the climate emergency and navigating recruitment challenges. But you don't have to do it alone.

Through interactive workshops, peer-to-peer discussions, and practical case studies, you will gain insights into the tools, strategies and best practices that are delivering successful collaboration.

We've intentionally scheduled longer session and breaks to increase the opportunity to share feedback and experiences within the group.

This event is the perfect opportunity to learn, grow and collaborate on potential solutions with like-minded procurement professionals who want to drive change in their local authority and beyond.

The venue

Belle Epoque Room, Hotel du Vin, Birmingham, Church Street, Birmingham, B3 2NR

Elizabeth McKenna, CPO Advisory Chair and Deputy Director of Delivery at STAR Procurement, will introduce today's session

As the challenges facing public procurement continue to increase and the skills gap widens, recruitment and retention is a key issue.

Continuing the conversation, we discuss how the drivers of collaboration during COVID have evolved, and local collaborations making an impact.

A working session to discuss how Local Authorities can make use of the new data available to them and share ideas on how procurement can take the reigns on carbon reduction efforts.

How can we use the CPO Forum to collaborate better? Including updates on Working Groups, opportunities to share experience, and ongoing communication.

Supporting the CPO Advisory Forum; sharing data insights and initatives to assist with current challenges and improved collaboration.
